Quick Biscuits

Pressed for time but still wanting a hearty meal for breakfast? These Quick Biscuits are just the thing. Warm, crispy on the outside and fluffy and flaky on the inside. And better yet, they only require minimal ingredients and wait time before baking up in the oven and onto your plate!

Here’s what you’ll need for these quick biscuits:

– 2 cups self-rising flour
– 1/4 cup sour cream
– 3/4 cup milk
– 4 tbs. butter
– 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Sift together dry ingredients. Add in milk + sour cream + cut in chunks of butter with a pastry cutter or fork. Preheat oven to 425⁰ Pour out dough onto floured surface and knead slightly until combined. Roll out into a 1/2 inch thickness.

Shape with biscuit cutter + place on an ungreased cookie pan. Let sit 10 minutes before placing in the oven.

Put in the oven to bake 12-14 minutes, or until golden. Enjoy with sausage gravy, apple butter or whatever your heart desires!
