We all know of the convenience of a quick trip through the drive-thru, but with that, we’re also unfortunately lowering our standards of the foods we’re consuming. Here are some meals that take minimal time and effort. Bonus, many don’t require a bunch of excessive ingredients or preparation either.

Meal 1: BBQ Chicken Sammies
This one is pretty easy to whip up. Heat up pre-cooked pulled chicken or pulled pork. Add in a jar of your favorite BBQ sauce. Prepare the coleslaw. Assemble on Hawaiian roll. It’s that simple and takes about 10 minutes.

Meal 2: Crispy Peanut Chicken Wraps

This is a 5-minute meal for those busy evenings or to put together to take with you for lunch. Shred up some pre-cooked chicken (I get mine from Imperfect). Grab a bag (or 2) of Trader Joe’s Peanut Crispy Noodle Salad Kit and some tortillas. Toss the chicken in the salad mix, wrap up in tortillas and enjoy!

Meal 3: Grilled Chicken Caesar Wraps
Here’s another 5 minute wrap meal to whip up when you just need something fast and filling. All you need, with just 3 ingredients. Salad Kit, chicken and tortillas. You also opt to eat just the chicken and salad.

Meal 4: One Pan Sausage + Green Beans + Fingerling Potatoes

This is one of those let’s see what we have in the fridge and pantry to whip up type meals, and you know what, it’s actually rather tasty! Cut your sausage and potatoes as you like, drain your green beans (or use fresh if you’ve got ’em), toss everything on a cookie sheet with some olive oil and salt and pepper, and into the oven at 425⁰ for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until potatoes are softened.

Meal 5: Chicken Wonton Miso Soup

This is another one-pot easy meal. I like to slice up some ginger and garlic for extra nutritional benefit, but these ingredients are optional. I also like to add some freshly chopped garlic chives and a chive blossom from the garden for added flavor. Cook everything in a soup pot for approximately 10 minutes or test one of the wontons to see if it’s heated through.

Meal 6: Quick Quesadillas
This one’s pretty self-explanatory. Quesadillas with some Trader Joe’s Cowboy Caviar. If you wanted to up the protein, you could also add some pre-cooked grilled chicken or beef. You can even fancy it up with a side of guacamole if you’ve got an extra 5 minutes to spare!

Meal 7: Grilled Ham & Swiss with Raspberry Jalapeño Jam
This is simply a glorified grilled cheese with a kick if you like a little sweet + spicy. I like to use HEB’s Asiago Bread to also give it a little extra something.

Meal 8: Birria Quesadillas

Give your quesadillas some protein with this yummy slow cooked beef Birria from Trader Joe’s.
I hope these ideas help make your life of cooking weeknight meals a little smoother.
