Oily Mama

Say what?!?!?  Yes, my semi-crunchy self has delved into the world of essential oils.  Why?  I’ve dealt with an array of issues for far too many years, and finally said, “there’s got to be another way.”  Tired of the side-effects and debilitating attributes of many things I was taking, that only worked a handful of the time, I decided I had enough.   I’m still learning, but boy has SO much changed in the short time period we’ve started using therapeutic grade essential oils.

Oh, essential oils, how I love thee… let me count the ways… just kidding (sorta)… here are the multiple ways I use oils in my home and maybe there’s a tip or two in here that can help you in your oil journey…

Here’s my Premium Starter Kit the first day it was unveiled… the Heaven’s opened!

Grapefruit essential oil and Himalayan Pink bath salts for a teacher appreciation gift (she was elated) and yes, I made extra for myself to enjoy! =)

In conjunction with a healthy meal plan and lifestyle, I like to use  2 drops of each:  Lemon EO (short for essential oil), Peppermint EO, and Grapefruit EO in a vegetable capsule (found in many health food stores as well as online).  Top the rest of the capsule off with Organic Avocado Oil or Organic Hemp Oil.  Store in a glass jar in the freezer to maintain freshness.

Fun sample bottles with mixes to give to friends and family to enjoy the wonderful benefits of essential oils.  These labels are actually envelope seals I found in the stationary section of Target.  The bottles I use to giveaway as samples are recycled essential oil bottles, soaked and washed in Thieves oil.

And did I mention some oils taste good?  I love adding a drop or two of Citrus Fresh, Lemon or Grapefruit to my juice, smoothies or water to add extra flavor and support me throughout my day.

EO Roller blends are a must in this household.  With active kids and a busy lifestyle, I don’t have the time to count drops of oils in my hand each time I need them.  I like to have blends we use every day at hand whenever I need.  These rollers were available on Amazon.

I also like to add oils to my green tea with local raw honey.  To support my wellness, I also add 2-3 drops of each:  Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon in a veggie capsule.  Top the capsule with Avocado or Hemp oil and store in a glass jar in the freezer.

To go the extra mile, I also like to put a couple drops on leather bracelets to wear throughout my day.  I love using my essential oils all throughout my day to support my emotional and spiritual well-being!
